Sri Gading is about 10km away between Batu Pahat and Parit Raja. It has over 20 bridges connecting houses and business on both sides of the river.
In 1920, Johor Sultan Ibrahim came here to hunt, and killed a giant elephant. He was pretty impressed by the animal, and decided to name that hunting ground Sri Gading, which means 'The Magnificent Tusk'.
Sri Gading is an industrial-centric town, with both local and international manufacturers setting up factories in the area.
